At Hollister, the people make the difference.
Before I joined Hollister I was a nurse at a hospital in Germany, and I cared for people who had undergone ostomy surgery. In 2006, after taking some time off to have my two sons, I decided to make a career change to improve my work/life balance and have a better schedule. I joined Hollister as a Sales Representative, and this was a natural fit for me. As a stoma nurse, I was very familiar with Hollister ostomy products, and I had a good impression of the company and its employees.
I love my sales position because every day is interesting. I enjoy working directly with nurses and doctors, helping them meet their patients’ needs with our ostomy products and services. It’s fun to be on the other side!
My colleagues are another a big reason why I’ve been with the company for many years. Everyone is respectful, and we have warm and friendly relationships with each other, and with our customers. This is something that really makes Hollister special.
In 2016, a Senior Sales Representative position opened up, and my supervisor recommended me for it. He was impressed by how committed I was to my job, and thought I would be a good fit for management. I was proud to be promoted, and worked hard to continue to win new customers.
At Hollister, the people really do make the difference. Our company has strong values and cultural beliefs, and we live them every day. We work together to make the lives of the people who use our products more rewarding and dignified. Hollister is also a great place to work because of the many opportunities. You can have a great career if you’re open to new experiences and bring your own new ideas. That’s certainly been true for me!
